Bethlehem Township Vol. Fire Company added an addition to our building in 2010. We have a beautiful building with up-to-date equipment, from the kitchen all to the way down to the bunk rooms and showers. We have prided ourselves on being clean and updated with all the newest equipment. Our Rescue is brand new to the station and includes the best rescue equipment currently on the fire market.

Engine 1711 is a 2020 Pierce Custom Enforcer. This engine carries 750 gallons of water and is equipped with a Waterous 2000 GPM pump. This truck’s main objective is the primary fire attack on the fireground. This engine equipped with an Evolution 5200 series Thermal Imaging Camera, 6 complete SCBA packs, 7 spare air cylinders, 4-gas meter, Foam Pro Pack,  Hurst Strong Arm, Blow Hard Fans and firefighting hand tools. 1711 also carries basic EMS equipment including an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and seats 4 firefighters, 1 officer, and a driver/pump operator.

Engine 1712, a rescue/pumper responds to all fire and accident calls. This unit carries the “jaws of life”, a variety of firefighting hand tools, gas power tools and of course hundreds of feet of hose. 1712 carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 2000 GPM pump, with a 40-gallon foam tank. This unit also carries EMS supplies including an Automatic external defibrillator, (AED). This unit can transport 4 firefighters and an officer and a driver/pump operator.

Heavy Rescue 1741 is a 2015 SVI mounted on a Spartan Gladiator chassis and houses a Cummins ISX15, 600-horsepower engine. The Heavy Rescue features On-Scene Solutions LED cargo slides, a hydraulic lift step with ladder storage and winch, street and curb side recessed awnings, a Command Light CL Series light tower, Hurst Hydraulic equipment such as the “Jaws of Life”, O-Cutters, Rams, Hurst Air Bag System, High Lift Jacks, and Forcible Entry Tools.

Brush/Rescue 1742 is a 2021 Pierce International Chassis 4-wheel drive brush/rescue with a pump capable of pumping 1250 gallons of water per minute. A 500-gallon water tank makes this unit “Pump and Roll” capable. This enables the driver to drive off-road through fields to extinguish brush fires. It carries multiple size attack and supply hose along with rescue tools including a smaller size “Jaws of Life” and Hurst Strong Arm. This unit carries a supply of EMS equipment including an AED and seats 5 firefighters.

Brush 1749 is a 1970 /89 AMC Kaiser 6X6 Brush/Wildfire Truck. This vehicle was obtained from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry in October of 2014. This vehicle is used for brush fires and water rescue incidents. It has a 500-gallon water tank, 300 gallon per minute pump and has numerous brush tools.

Traffic Unit 1746 is a 2021 Ford F350 Series Super Crew Cab pick-up truck is used to assist fire police with extended duration road closures. This truck is also used to tow our off-road vehicles to remote locations such as the bike path, and/or hiking trails.

Utility 1745 is a 2021 Ford Super duty crew cab pick-up truck is used to tow the rescue boat to the launch. This vehicle is also used to tow the off-road vehicles to remote locations. This vehicle is also equipped with EMS supplies, including an AED. This truck also equipped with Western V- Plow. During snowstorms, this unit accompanies the EMS units to help clear a path to the medical emergency.

Marine 17 the Rescue One boat carries EMS and water rescue equipment and has the ability to carry two patients. The boat is powered by a 40HP Mercury jet outboard motor. This motor is positioned in such a way that the boat can traverse very shallow water without damaging the motor. This unit also has a dive platform.

ATV 1 is a 6-wheeled John Deere Gator has the ability to transport a patient from a remote location much faster than the traditional stokes basket carry. The unit is stocked with a backboard, rescue basket, basic life support items, searchlights, and rope and rough terrain items. This unit is also utilized to transport firefighters to remote areas to extinguish brush fires. There is also a 2000 lb winch mounted to the front of the unit.

ATV 2 is a Grizzly 4-wheeler unit is used for off-road situations where normal fire apparatus cannot access. This unit is ideal for the Bike Path and Tow Path both of which are heavily used in Bethlehem Township. This unit enables us to gain quick access to an injured person. We carry EMS equipment in the storage bin which allows us to begin treatment until the remaining rescuers reach the remote location.

Ambulance 1781-1789 All units are equipped with ALS (Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) supplies. These include a hi-tech heart monitor that can detect a heart attack faster, defibrillators to restart a heart and advanced medications to help our patients. Highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) and Paramedics staff these units.

Each unit has a similar layout for equipment. This allows EMS personnel to transition easily from one ambulance to another, assuring that they are comfortable during any medical situation. Our fleet manager ensures that each unit is operating at peak performance increasing patient safety and crew efficiency. Our units are dispatched to a variety of calls across Bethlehem Township and beyond.
